Hola! I’m Lauren — engaged to Alex with our daughter, Inés, with our King Charles Cavalier Rio, living in Leicester after five years abroad on the Costa Blanca.
When I’m not cuddling with Rio or exploring the local area, you can probably find me:
- Drinking my way through coffee shops
- Editing photos for Instagram
- Scrolling social media
- Spending way too much time on Brawl Stars
- Binge watching Netflix
- Mouthing every word to Notting Hill
- Adding to my never-ending bucket list
Not forgetting travelling whenever we can. I love the feeling of being in a new place, the new experiences, the new views and I just love sunsets and elephants.
I started this blog in January 2018, whilst still working as an English tutor and studying a degree in Spanish. I wanted to be part of something bigger. A community. Share my ideas. Meet new people. Get my voice heard. I had so much to say, but nowhere to write it.
That’s how Diary of a Spanglish Girl was created.
You might’ve first heard about us from our live walks around Benidorm, which we still try to do as often as we can. I’ve been featured on Radio 5 Live, and in The Times, The Metro and The Daily Telegraph. I was also the Ambassador for Visit Benidorm and starred in an advert with the British Embassy in Madrid.
But now, we’re back home. Leicester.
It’s time for a new era and a new adventure for us all. And I think this might be our biggest one yet.
