Sunday 28th October 2018 – Day 28 of Blogtober
By the time this goes up, you’ll have to “corre” as the Spanish say because most of the Halloween Decorations will be answered for. However, in Dealz and Carrfour there is usually stock for a lot longer.
In Carrefour, you’ll be able to pick up a last minute costume. So, if you’ve last-minute booked for a Scarefest, like Terra Mitica, in Benidorm and find yourself suddenly needing a costume, there would be the best place to go.
I’m also hoping that this will come in again for next year, I will edit bits and pieces in case any circumstances change – but I don’t think they will! What happens in Benidorm stays in Benidorm and it will continue to stay and happen and not change for the next ten years… that is the saying, right?
If you’re thinking about being a little extra, like me, and trimming up for Halloween but not sure where to get the bits and pieces from, then I’ve compiled a little list of where you can find Halloween themed decorations in Benidorm.
Leroy Merlin
Leroy Merlin is located in Finestrat, near to the Gran Hotel Bali. It’s a French home improvement and gardening retailer which can be found in many countries across the world. They’re usually built on the outskirts of big cities.
Leroy Merlin from early October until early November has a selection of Halloween decorations that you can use to trim up your home to get in the Halloween spirit!
Carrefour
Just after the “Back to School” stuff is removed, Carrefour adds the Halloween selection. It’s added mid October, from around 10th. You’ll be able to pick up anything from Halloween sweets, pumpkins, decorations and costumes all in the seasonal aisle.
They’re usually at a fairly decent price, very similar to Asda. You can find Carrefour up in Finestrat near to C.C La Marina.
Dealz
One of the best shops for finding those guilty UK treats. Like wine gums that I definitely don’t get through 5 packs a week…
Situtated inside C.C La Marina, Dealz has a large selection of Halloween bits and pieces, with most of them being 1.50€. If you’re looking for Halloween dog costumes, Kids Halloween Fancy Dress, Adults Fancy Dress, Halloween treats and more all for the lowest cost, then Dealz (poundland) is the place to go.
They have a really cute dog toy this year, which I know I’ll cave and buy for Rio. They usually have a Halloween themed blanket, which yes, he does have. They’ve also got loads of really affordable bits and pieces, like a cool skeleton candle holder.
I love that this year in Dealz, they have Dia de Muertos style pieces too. They have a few painted skulls in the Catarina style. Just know, I have definitely already bought it…
GiFi
The recently opened all purpose everything you didn’t know you needed and more shop, GiFi, has recently added its Halloween bits and pieces.
You can find some Halloween Home Decor, Halloween themed party equipment and Halloween toys all on the Halloween temporary aisle.
Mercadona
Mercadona is a great place to stock up on treats for Halloween, especially novelty sweets. They have a range each year that is a big favourite amongst the kids. For 1-3€ they sell Halloween themed tins filled with sweets and goodies which is a big favourite.
It’s also one of the best places to pick up your pumpkins!
Are you trimming up this Halloween?
Hasta luego,
