I’m loving a good Top 5 recently, so to get into the Christmas mood, I’ve created my list of my Top 5 Christmas Movies. I love nothing more than curling up on the sofa with Rio on my lap with a mug of hot chocolate watching a Christmas movie to get into the festive spirit.
If you haven’t watched any of these Christmas films before, add them to your watchlist. Or, if you’re looking for inspiration of family films to watch this Christmas and need the names to jog your memory, you’re welcome!
Get your family together and have the ultimate Christmas movie night. Let the Christmas lights twinkle to create the perfect ambience and really get into the Christmas spirit with these Christmas movies.
For some delicious gourmet popcorn, perfect for snacking on whilst enjoying a Christmas movie night, you could try Popcorn Shed. They produce scrumptious popcorn beautifully packaged in their ‘shed’ carton. Their unique flavours change up the standard popcorn night, I’d definitely recommend their ‘Pop N Choc’ or Salted Caramel! If you’re more into savoury, they do some mouthwatering flavours like ‘Say Cheese’!
1. The Grinch
The Grinch is one of my all-time favourite Christmas movies. I was so torn between making Elf or The Grinch number one. The Grinch contains some lovely songs that will be stuck in your head for a while, “where are you Christmas?” also tops as being one of my favourite Christmas songs too. It’s just the most beautiful heart-warming of stories which captures the true meaning of Christmas.

2. Elf
I love you, I love you, I love you! If you don’t love Buddy the Elf then something is seriously wrong! The most loveable characters that just brings the magic of Christmas. Transforming a house into a home, Buddy leaves Santa Claus to find his Dad in New York, who shockingly is on the naughty list! You’ll laugh, cry and feel the magic of Christmas with Buddy and his family.

3. Home Alone 2
This is why I just need to go to New York at Christmas, isn’t it? All of my favourite films are based there. New York is Christmas Town, confirmed. You’d think the parents would learn from the first time, leaving Kevin alone is never going to go well. Follow along as Kevin takes on the Big Apple, whilst his parents sun it up in Florida. Okay, perhaps they didn’t mean to lose him again, but it certainly brings some big-time laughs for Christmas!

4. Miracle on 34th Street
Another New York classic. When Cole’s Department Store fires Santa Claus for getting drunk, they find Kris Kringle, Richard Attenborough, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Santa Claus. After his huge success on the parade, he is immediately hired as the Store’s Santa Claus. All of the children believe he is the real Santa Claus except one. The little girl confesses she’ll believe if she gets all of the things she wants for Christmas, can Kris Kringle deliver?

5. A Christmas Carol
The animated retelling of the Charles Dickens’ classic novel about Mr Scrooge, the Victorian-era miser who despises Christmas and all things kind. On a journey of self-redemption and reflection, thanks to a few Christmas ghosts. Is it too late to change a certain Mr Scrooge?

Popcorn Shed
Whilst watching your favourite Christmas movies, I’d recommend getting your hands on some scrumptious, gourmet popcorn from Popcorn Shed. They are delectable, mouthwatering flavours that deter from the standard, boring flavours we normally indulge on! The popcorn revolution has arrived.
We were kindly sent boxes and boxes of Popcorn Shed to see us through the Christmas movie period. Watching Christmas movies with a delightful selection of popcorn is so different from the usual toffee or salt or sweet. Instead, treat your taste buds to “Say Cheese” or “Pop n Choc” which were both mouthwateringly good. They are a fantastic consistency that has just the right amount of pop and crunch.
Who’d have thought that caramel and cheese would work… together?! Yet, it does. Surprise yourself and get your hands on some of the fabulous flavours that Popcorn Shed offer, now available at Superdrug!
Just be careful the pesky elves don’t get their hands on them. They love them just as much as you will.
Christmas Family Movie Nights just got much more interesting!
