Where to Eat Mexican Food in Moraira (near to Javea and Benidorm)

If you’re on holiday on the Costa Blanca at the moment, or living here, you might be wondering where you can eat authentic, good quality and tasty Mexican food. To account into it, you’re probably looking for somewhere that isn’t going to cost an arm or a leg either. What you’re looking for is Mex y Go in Moraira.

Situated on the main road into Moraira tucked away in the corner of a shop unit, the Mex y Go restaurant is a little treasure trove of Mexican goodies inside.

After several recommendations from friends, we headed over to Moraira from Benidorm back in the summer to try it out and we weren’t disappointed. In fact, it was the complete opposite. We were delighted with not only the food, but the service that comes with it. The staff are attentive and food comes piping hot and in a very timely manner.

We’ve ventured over to Mex y Go a few times since, making the drive either from Javea after a day out there, or a specific journey from Benidorm, just for Mexican food. We’re massive fans of fajitas and nachos and nowhere on the Costa Blanca that we’ve tried does them quite like Mex y Go.

The nachos are crispy and topped with mouthwatering toppings and the fajitas come out sizzling and bursting with flavour. We’ve always opted for the double for 2 chicken fajitas that will give you plenty of change from a 20 euro note.

You’ll be seated amongst Mexican decorations whilst rock classics play in the background. There is plenty of Mexican options available that I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Travelling from Benidorm, Moraira takes around 45 minutes in the car travelling along the motorway. If you’re going to Moraira from Javea it will take you around 15-20 minutes. Of course, a day trip to Moraira finishing off with Mexican food is a good idea too.

In Moraira, you can visit the beaches and coves that it has to offer amongst other landmarks. It’s definitely worth stopping by Moraira’s main historic building, the 18th century castle which stands proudly alongside l’Ampolla beach.

Moraira is part of the Teulada town which is located just a few kilometres inland. El Portet is the most renowned area which is filled with beautiful villas and exceptional views of Moraira.

If you are taking a day trip to Moraira, a Friday is a popular day to visit as every Friday from 8:30 until 2:30pm, you’ll find the large market located on the car parking on Avenida Madrid.

Why not try some Mexican in Moraira? You’ll love it!
