Loose Women LIVE Review at De Montfort Hall 2023

UK dates are rapidly selling out and it might just be the sense of sipping drinks in a pretty dress having a good ole gossip with your girls that might be the reason that audiences around the country are already loving it.

As the Loose Women are hitting stages around the country, on September 15th 2023, it was De Montfort Hall’s time to play host to panellists Denise Welch, Charlene White, Linda Robson and Kelle Bryan.

The set is created to replicate the ITV Studio so you’ll get a real feel for being there. You’re transported from a one-way viewing sitting on your sofa with a cuppa in the morning to a bejazzled night out with audience participation and a glass of something bubbly by night.

It’s the first time ever that the Loose Women have taken this show on the road with Loose Women Live so everything is brand new and fresh. Glitzing it up from the daily chic look, the women are stepping out dressed to the nines. Charlene looked absolutely stunning entering the stage to Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood (Yes girl, TASTE!) and Kelle Bryan looked all the bit fabulous stepping out to Beyoncé.

Linda, who recently announced she doesn’t need a man, brought that classy independent woman look that all 60-somethings around the country will be wanting to rock. And Denise Welch rocked her statement bold look equipped with her sharp tongue and dirty mouth with no censoring necessary!

Fans of the show were promised laughter, secrets, and a whole lot more. Well, let me say, from what was promised, they certainly delivered. I’m talking plenty of boiling hot tea split, plenty of innuendos and laughter aplenty. From the audience reaction at the end, there were plenty of satisfied fans!

One of the elements of the show is the appearance of a local celeb and for Leicester, it was X Factor winner and soon-to-be returning to De Montfort Hall for Panto season’s Sam Bailey. Sam Bailey is a down-to-earth Leicester gal and brought the goss from her career including a cheeky autocorrect text message mishap and a pep talk from Harry Styles!

Audience participation is encouraged, there’s silliness from the Never Have I Ever and the Q&A (scan the QR code on the posters to submit your question) and enough gossip to rival a gossip magazine. And you know what, sometimes in life we just want to numb out and listen to some celebrity gossip that literally doesn’t make a difference to our lives but makes you go OHH MY GOD. Because, who wouldn’t want to hear about celebrity sex lives?!

What I hadn’t expected though, was the level of emotional support that the Loose Women bring to one another and women around the nation. I hadn’t quite expected to hear open and deep conversations surrounding battles with Lupus, generalised anxiety disorder and depression, post-natal depression, grief, and alcoholism and just how rallying our mates up and talking it out really is sometimes all we need. And when it’s not, getting help is not weak – its incredibly strong.

To hear all these things normalised and talked about is a fight for all women.

As somebody who doesn’t watch Loose Women (I’m always at work at that time and my maternity leave was filled with tostadas and beach walks rather than daytime TV!), I would still recommend this show regardless for a ladies night out.

This really is a stage version of sitting with your mate on a bottomless brunch spilling tea about all the gossip you’ve both picked up along the way.
